Asia’s Lowest Internet Speed - India

A Content release network services provider Akamai Technologies released its Final Quarter of 2015 State of the Internet report. Based on data gathered from the Akamai Intelligent Platform, the report provides imminent into key global information such as broadband adoption metrics, connection speeds, IPv4 exhaustion & IPv6 implementation, notable Internet disruptions.

The statement exposed that global average connection speed increased 8.6 percent to 5.6 Mbps from the third quarter, a 23 percent increase year-over-year. 
 
South Korea had the peak standard connection speed at 26.7 Mbps, at the same time as India was the slowest in the Asia Pacific region with average speeds of 2 Mbps. The top speed in India was also lower than South Korea’s average at the speed of 21.2 Mbps.
 
Also, in the final quarter of 2015, 32 percent of unique IP addresses crossways the world linked to Akamai at standard speeds above 10 Mbps, an increase of 15 percent greater than the last quarter. This was a 34 percent increase.
 
Division statistics on IPv4 and IPv6, the statement says that the numeral of unique, worldwide IPv4 addresses had a minor increase of 0.2 percent to just over 810 million addresses. On a worldwide basis, close up to 70 percent of the regions or countries saw a quarter-over-quarter boost in unique IPv4 address counts in the final quarter, up to 10 percent since the 3rd quarter. 
 
Belgium yet again maintains a clear front, with 37 percent of content requirements being made over IPv6, up from 35 percent in the 3rd quarter. France (11percent) posted the biggest quarter-over-quarter expand with 113 percent.
 
while it comes to mobile connectivity, the statement places the UK on top with the best ever average mobile connection speed at 26.8Mbps, & Spain in 2nd place at 14.0 Mbps. Iran had the lowest standard connection speed, at 1.3 Mbps, followed by Vietnam with a standard connection speed of 1.8 Mbps. In the final quarter, Finland & Australia lead the world with 99 percent 4 Mbps adoption rates, followed intimately by Sweden with 98 percent adoption.
